POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN EVIDENCE BASED TREATMENT OF SUBSTANCE USE, AFFECTIVE, AND TRAUMA DISORDERS FOR MULTICULTURAL POPULATIONS

Wholeview Wellness is accepting applications for a one-year Postdoctoral Position in Clinical Psychology which will begin in Summer or Fall of 2024. We are currently recruiting for one full-time (40 hour/week) position. This position will offer intensive training through individual and group supervision in the use of multicultural informed evidence-based treatments for substance use, affective, and trauma-based disorders.
This fellowship was created to promote culturally competent treatment for ethnic minority patients and to increase the diversity of psychologists providing effective care for this population. A focus on the exploration of how racial/cultural identity, and racism-related stress, intersect with clinical presentations will be a component of the training. In addition, the fellowship will focus on developing critical components of self-awareness of cultural identities and how this can be utilized in the therapeutic process.
To facilitate the expansion of mental health services into underserved communities, training in the use of technology in treatment will be an integral component of the training year, specifically focusing on best-practices in the effective use of telehealth services/resources.
Wholeview Wellness is a group psychotherapy practice and an NYS OASAS licensed addiction treatment program that provides in-person addiction and psychological services centered in Midtown Manhattan and telehealth services to all of NYS. We provide exceptional care for people struggling with substance use and psychological stress and we are looking for fellows who share our passion!
