Dr. Church is a clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience in research, program development, and treatment of patients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. She is an expert in Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA), Community Reinforcement Approach and Family Therapy, (CRAFT), and Contingency Management.
Before starting Wholeview, Dr. Church served as the Executive Director of the Division of Substance Abuse at Montefiore Medical Center and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine for 16 years. She completed a predoctoral fellowship in addiction at the Yale University School of Medicine and a postdoctoral year at the Substance Treatment and Research Service (STARS) at Columbia University Medical Center after graduating from Fordham University with a doctorate in clinical psychology and from Columbia University with an AB in psychology. Dr. Church was appointed by Mayors Bloomberg, De Blasio, and Adams to the NYC-DOHMH Community Services Board and serves on the Board of the Coalition of Medication-Assisted Treatment Providers and Advocates (COMPA). She is a Past President of the Division on Addictions at the New York State Psychological Association (NYSPA). Internationally, she has provided consultation to the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for both Vietnam and Afghanistan as they develop medication-assisted treatment centers in their countries.

Dr. Amy J. Colley is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working in the field of addiction. She graduated with a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University after completing an MA in Italian from Middlebury College and a BA in French from Northwestern University.
During her predoctoral internship at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, she worked on detoxification, inpatient and outpatient units as well as completing a rotation in the emergency room. She later served as the director of admissions and outreach at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Division of Substance Abuse overseeing admissions for nine opioid treatment programs and two outpatient chemical dependence programs serving 4,000 patients. She has studied the treatment of alcohol use disorders in Kerala, India where she lived for eight months, and published an article in a peer-reviewed journal. Most recently, she served as a clinical supervisor at Thrive NYC on the Mental Health Service Corps supervising postdoctoral psychologists placed in substance abuse treatment programs throughout the five boroughs. Dr. Colley is an OASAS-certified provider for the Impaired Drivers Program and serves on The Way, a coalition against drug abuse in Hastings-on-Hudson.

Dr. Rachel K. Levy is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience in the research and treatment of addictions, eating disorders, OCD, anxiety, and mood disorders. Dr. Levy is an expert in Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Positive Psychology. She treats individuals, couples, and families.
Before joining Wholeview, Dr. Levy was a Research Scientist in the Department of Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Medical Center and specialized in eating disorders. She has served as an adjunct professor teaching courses on Drug and Alcohol Use Research and serves as a clinical supervisor for doctoral students. Dr. Levy has maintained a private practice in Westchester County for over 20 years.
Dr. Levy completed her APA-approved psychology internship at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She received her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in clinical psychology at The State University of New York at Buffalo on full scholarship. During that time, she worked for 4 years at the Research Institute on Addictions in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Levy graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.

Sara Levine-Rovner, PMHNP is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Substance Use Disorders (SUDs). Sara has been working in the field of addiction since 2014, initially as a detox technician, then as a nurse, and now as a nurse practitioner. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary College with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later obtained a Master of Science from New York University.
She incorporates Person-Centered and Humanistic Therapies with psychopharmacological principles to develop individualized treatment plans for each client. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and integrates trauma-informed principles into all aspects of treatment.

Dr. Gottdiener is a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of clinical experience helping people with substance use disorders, which includes working in inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings. His expertise is in the use of empirically supported psychodynamic therapy for people with substance use disorders.
Dr. Gottdiener is a licensed clinical psychologist and tenured full professor of psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). He is the co-director of the college’s addiction studies program and was previously the director of training of the college’s American Psychological Association (APA) accredited clinical psychology doctoral program that is affiliated with the CUNY Graduate Center. Dr. Gottdiener received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from The New School for Social Research in New York and subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in substance abuse research funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. He is an OASAS Certified Provider for the Impaired Drivers Program. Dr. Gottdiener has published over 40 articles and book chapters and is the recipient of research grants from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, CUNY, and the Far Fund. He is on the editorial boards of the journals Addiction Research and Theory and Psychoanalytic Psychology. He is also the recipient of awards for teaching excellence and student mentoring. He is an APA Fellow in the divisions of addiction, clinical psychology, psychoanalysis, and general psychology and is a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytic Association. His research focuses on the personality processes relevant to the development, maintenance, and treatment of substance use disorders. His work was recognized by Division 39 (psychoanalysis) of the APA, which honored him with its prestigious Research and Scholarship Award in 2015. Dr. Gottdiener lives with his family in New York City.

Shannon is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in treating substance use disorders, behavioral addictions, and trauma. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Shannon moved to upstate New York as a young adult to attend Skidmore College where she received a B.S. in Dance and Social Work. She received her MSW in Advanced Generalist Practice and Programming from Columbia University in 2018 where she was awarded the Linda and Peter Hoffman Writing Award. Her MSW field practicum took place at the domestic violence agency Sanctuary for Families.
Shannon’s career in treating substance use began while working at an OASAS facility in rural upstate NY; she became interested in how people are quick to turn to ineffective coping skills to self-medicate, often because it’s the best way they know how. Here, Shannon decided to dedicate her career to anti-racist, trauma-informed clinical work, inspired by the individuals she met. Since then, Shannon has worked in intensive outpatient and outpatient levels of care in NYC.
Shannon is formally trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for trauma and has additional training in Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) from Behavioral Tech, and the Gottman Method for couples therapy. Shannon is always eager to learn new and improved evidence-based interventions to help heal people stuck in pain, heartache, and grief.

Dr. Michael O’Kane is a psychologist with a combined doctorate in school and clinical psychology from Kean University in Union, NJ. His clinical training has primarily focused on the evidence-based treatment of substance use disorders and he specializes in the use of mindfulness-based therapies (e.g. ACT, DBT). His graduate training experiences include Northport VA Hospital’s long-term residential substance use treatment program and Yale University School of Medicine’s DBT services for individuals struggling with chronic emotion dysregulation, suicidality, and substance use issues. He completed his predoctoral internship at AIDS Care Group within their Center for Integrative Medicine program providing individual and group psychotherapy for patients receiving MAT for opioid use disorder and those living with HIV.
Dr. O’Kane employs a highly flexible and nonjudgmental approach to the treatment of substance use difficulties and strives to meet clients wherever they are in their recovery process.

Mia Darrow Cohen graduated Suma Cum Laude from the Macaulay Honors College, CUNY with a BA in Neuroscience and Psychology. She is currently working on her MSW and CASAC at the University at Buffalo, SUNY where she is focusing on clinical skills for treating substance use disorders (SUDs) and comorbid mental health challenges. She uses a collaborative approach that incorporates Motivational Interviewing, DBT, psychoeducation, and mindfulness. She works through a strengths-based lens to support her patients in creating the changes they seek.
Before Wholeview, Mia worked as a mental health and executive functioning coach as well as a meditation teacher. She provided support and encouragement to clients with a wide range of needs. She especially enjoys working with people to provide meditation and grounding tools for emotional regulation and better sleep.

Dr. Smith is a clinical psychologist who has been working in addiction research and treatment for many years and is a national expert in Motivational Interviewing, she uses relaxation therapy, mindfulness, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in her practice.
Dr. Smith is a clinical psychologist licensed in New York and New Jersey. She completed her BA at SUNY Stony Brook, her PhD at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, and her Internship at the Bronx VA Hospital. For the past 17 years, she has served as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Columbia University Medical Center where she conducts research and oversees clinical trials focused on developing the best strategies for teaching evidence-based treatments to healthcare professionals. Dr. Smith is the Director of Training for the SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) training initiative at the Columbia University Medical Center. She has honed her expertise in training healthcare professionals in Motivational Interviewing as a member of the International Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) since 2005. She has provided training to healthcare professionals in Europe and throughout America and regularly teaches residents, medical, and dental students how to motivate people to engage in treatment for substance use disorders. Additionally, for more than 10 years she has helped people improve their lives as a clinical psychologist in private practice.

Kristina Brown is a seasoned Physician Assistant with more than 25 years of experience in providing high-quality care to special populations. Her recent focus has been on addiction medicine, where she has excelled in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including virtual care. Kristina has extensive expertise in Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD) and other substance use disorders (SUD), having worked in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and inpatient addiction treatment facilities. Her areas of specialization include prescribing Suboxone, primary psychiatric care, HIV care and antiretroviral management, PEP, PrEP, STI screening and treatment, and Hepatitis C treatment. Kristina has also demonstrated leadership in HIV-related quality improvement, notably leading the Quality Improvement (QI) program for the STAR Health Center at SUNY Downstate Medical Center for 15 years and serving as a Quality Consultant for the New York State Department of Health.
Kristina’s academic background is equally impressive, holding a Master of Public Health from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, a master’s in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska, and a BA in Sociology and Biology from Oneonta State College. She has received specialized training through the New York AIDS Institute Nicholas Rango HIV Clinical Scholars Program and the Advanced Practice Clinician Colposcopy Education Program. Throughout her career, Kristina has been committed to training and mentoring PA and medical students, and she has made significant contributions to the implementation and sustained growth of quality improvement programs.

Dr. Génecé is a NYS licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience in the design and implementation of addiction treatment programs and the utilization of cognitive-behavioral techniques for the treatment of co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders.
Dr. Génecé received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Boston University, completed her predoctoral internship at the Boston Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC), and completed postdoctoral work at the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University (now known as Center on Addiction). Dr. Génecé has extensive clinical and research experience in the cognitive-behavioral treatment of anxiety, depressive, and substance abuse disorders. She has also taught and supervised graduate students, psychiatry residents, and Addiction Fellows on the process of disseminating cognitive-behavioral treatments to diverse treatment settings, in addition to conducting specialized training for professionals in motivational interviewing techniques. Dr. Génecé’s current position is as the Clinical/Administrative Director of the NY Region at Phoenix House. In this role, Dr. Génecé works to develop and implement best practices in substance abuse treatment throughout NYC and LI. Before joining Phoenix House, Dr. Génecé served as the Deputy Director of the Division of Substance Abuse (DoSA), Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, at Montefiore Medical Center, where she was the Chair of the Quality Committee and provided administrative and clinical leadership to over 200 staff members serving 3000 patients annually. In addition, Dr. Génecé has served as the Administrative Director of Addiction Treatments at Bronx Lebanon Health Center (BLHC), where she oversaw five levels of ASAM addiction care, and as the Director of Program Design & Evaluation at the Institute for Community Living (ICL), both in New York City.

Dr. Rajacic-Poppe holds a Ph.D. degree from Yeshiva University, an MA degree from Columbia University, a mental health counseling license, and an NYS CASAC certification for Substance-Related Disorders. Her predoctoral internship in addictions was completed at Holy Name Medical Center and her postdoctoral fellowship was at an addiction-focused private practice. She maintains a faculty appointment at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University and is a clinical supervisor for doctoral-level psychologists in training. Before joining Wholeview, Dr. Poppe worked in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the Division of Substance Abuse at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine as the Coordinator of Social Services for five years and as a counselor for 15 years. Before that, Dr. Poppe worked at the former Arthur Kill Correctional Facility where she provided psychological counseling to the incarcerated population. She served as a student intern in the department of Substance Abuse at Staten Island University Hospital early in her career. She has extensive experience working with EAPs, criminal and personal injury law firms, pre-trial intervention cases, DYFUS and ACS, and writes psychological reports. She maintains OASAS certification for Provider of Clinical Screening and Assessment Services for the Impaired Driving Offender.

Dr. Jared Morgenstern obtained his doctorate in social work at the University of Pennsylvania where his research focused on the examination of ambivalence in clinical relationships and its impact on patient outcomes. He received his MA in Social Work from The Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, and his BA in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo.
Dr. Morgenstern is an expert in the application of several therapeutic techniques including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness techniques. He is also trained in trauma interventions including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Attachment-Focused EMDR. Before coming to Wholeview he provided treatment in outpatient, intensive outpatient, and inpatient levels of care. Jane Macky completed her Mental Health Counseling degree at the City College of New York, where her focus was on Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and recovery. She also holds a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from Yale University. She is certified in Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) and has dedicated the past five years to increasing access to CRAFT and working directly with family members impacted by addiction in both group and individual therapy. Jane has also conducted research proving the efficacy and outcomes of delivering CRAFT online and has recently begun training clinicians in CRAFT. Jane is the Founder and CEO of We The Village, a digital program she developed for professionals & families to treat addiction and improve family health outcomes.

Pam Segura MS MA is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at the New School for Social Research (NSSR), where she is lab manager at the Mental Health Equity Lab. She is also an extern at Wholeview Direct, awaiting her credentials to become a CASAC-P. Pam’s clinical interests are on the intersections of drug use, PTSD, and suicidal behaviors. She aims to co-create a warm, generative environment with her patients. She is also a research fellow with TRACC (Translational Research Training in Addictions for Underrepresented Groups), which trains novice researchers in translational addiction research and how to integrate basic science findings into clinical/community practice and use new technologies to enhance the reach of treatments.

Dr. Jim Benton is a clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience. He specializes in the treatment of substance use disorders, and gambling disorders with expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), medication-assisted treatment, and chronic pain.
Dr. Benton received a doctoral degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the City University of New York and completed a postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is a licensed psychologist and the Director of Psychology Training at the Brattleboro Retreat, a private psychiatric and substance use treatment hospital in New England. He established the behavioral medicine and outpatient psychological testing services at the Brattleboro Retreat. Dr. Benton was previously an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a Clinical Manager of substance use treatment at Montefiore. Before this, Dr. Benton was a management consultant and business executive, most recently as a Director of the Talent and Organization Strategy practice of Accenture, a global management consulting firm.

Dr. Reddy is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist with 10 years of experience in treatment and neuropsychological evaluation of a wide range of presentations. Practicing from a culturally sensitive and intersectional lens, she has extensive experience working with intergenerational transmission of trauma, sexual expression, gender identity, and neurodiversity.
She joined Wholeview with a specialization in rehabilitation and developmental neuropsychology. She has a deep understanding of origins and treatment of AD/HD and related sequelae, including anxiety, depression, mental and physical fatigue, relationship challenges, irritability, disorganization of mind, and challenges with healthy habit formation. Her neuropsychology background also informs her treatment approach for individuals who have experienced concussion, mild traumatic brain injury, and pain.
Dr. Reddy views therapy through an integrative and person-centered lens. She has expertise in trauma-informed psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), relational mindfulness, mindfulness meditation, motivational interviewing (MI), Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and sensate focus techniques to improve sexual intimacy and communication.
Dr. Reddy received her BA in Economics from the University of Rochester, her MA in Personality and Psychopathology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and her PhD from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Reddy completed her doctoral training at NYU Medical Center.

Evin Lawson is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She graduated from New York University Silver School of Social Work and has established a career in helping individuals and their families understand addiction through mindfulness and self-compassion. Evin has worked with individuals with addiction and co-occurring mental health diagnoses for the last 15 years. Understanding the mechanisms underlying substance use has led her to incorporate strategies to enhance resilience and encourage growth at various stages of recovery.
Through her eclectic approach, she addresses the individual’s relationship with the substance by implementing practices including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Evin believes that change happens when people draw on their own experiences and cultivate their strengths to learn how to become comfortable with themselves.

Felipe Castillo, MD, received his undergraduate degree in biology from Cornell University in 2008. After graduating, he worked as a research coordinator at Columbia University/New York State Psychiatric Institute. Prior to starting medical school at Tulane University, he received a Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award at the NIH. After graduating medical school, he completed his adult psychiatry residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. He then completed an NIH T32 and ACGME Addiction Psychiatry fellowship at Columbia University/New York State Psychiatric Institute with the Division on Substance Use Disorders, pursuing both his research and clinical interests in addiction.
He has researched topics ranging from attitudes toward Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUDs) by clinicians to the role that comorbid drug use plays among patients with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) initiating treatment.

Carly Moskowitz is a New York State-licensed Mental Health Counselor and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). She is currently a doctoral student in the Mental Health Counseling program at Pace University. Carly graduated from Long Island University with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Drug and Alcohol Abuse Studies from Iona College.
Carly has experience providing treatment for adults and families at outpatient chemical dependence and mental health programs. She has training in supporting recovery with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). Carly practices therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and mindfulness techniques. Carly is also trained in trauma interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Dr. Hall-Simmonds is a licensed psychologist with a degree in clinical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. Her research interests focus on the area of positive psychology specifically focusing on the relationship between character strengths and clinical presentation among individuals with depression. She is trained in a range of evidence-based treatments that focus on the amelioration of short-term and long-term effects of chronic substance use. She has dedicated most of her career to the provision of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and psychodynamic therapies. She completed her predoctoral internship at Mount Sinai Health Systems, where she worked at the Center for Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders, Addiction Institute, and the Psychiatric Inpatient Unit.
Dr. Hall-Simmonds completed an additional year at Mount Sinai West Addiction Institute through a postdoctoral program, at which she provided intensive outpatient group psychotherapy, individual psychotherapy, cognitive and psychological assessment, and presented lectures related to substance use and early recovery. During her time there, she worked closely with adults from a range of special populations such as LGBTQA+, POC, and emerging adulthood.

She also has experience assisting individuals in acute psychiatric inpatient facilities, who suffer from severe and persistent mental health diagnoses. Adri is experienced in providing both individual therapy and facilitating group work, including a weekly Somatic Processing group and a group tailored to Empowering Creatives in Recovery.
With 16 years of experience in the arts, Adri brings a special interest in working with creatives to explore themes such as identity, life purpose, and the transformative power of creative flow into the therapeutic process, drawing on symbolic imagery and expressive practices as pathways for healing.

Paul J. Rinaldi is a highly accomplished psychologist with a distinguished career over three decades. Throughout his career, Dr. Rinaldi has held several prominent positions, including his current role as an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine, a position he has held since 2017. He has also served as the Director and Clinical Director at The Addiction Institute of New York, where he was instrumental in developing and overseeing treatment programs for substance use disorders. His extensive clinical experience includes roles at the Smithers Treatment and Training Center and the Bronx Veteran Affairs Medical Center, where he coordinated substance use treatment programs. Dr. Rinaldi‘s research contributions are significant, particularly in the areas of substance use disorders and neuropsychology. He has been a Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator on numerous studies funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), with his work published in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease and Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research. His dedication to advancing the field of psychology has earned him several honors, including the NYS Addiction Psychologist of the Year award in 2012. Dr. Rinaldi is also an active member of several professional societies, including the American Psychological Association and the New York State Psychological Association. She has eight years of experience as a counselor and has honed her skills in individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning. Her investigative working style has enabled her to approach each case with a methodical and analytical mindset, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support. Her fluency in Spanish has improved her ability to interact with a variety of people and provide culturally aware advice, which is essential in the complex society of today.

Kathleen is known for her exceptional communication, leadership, and multitasking abilities, and she is bilingual in Spanish. Her career includes significant roles such as Patient Care Administrator and Insurance Coordinator at Facial and Oral Surgery Specialists, where she managed surgical scheduling, patient financial discussions, and insurance verifications. Kathleen has also worked as a Medical Biller for Action Rehab LLC and held various positions at White Plains Hospital Orthopedic and Riverside Pediatrics, showcasing her versatility and dedication to patient care and office efficiency. She is BLS/CPR certified and a registered medical assistant with the American Medical Technologists (AMT).

Eric Parmon is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in addiction psychiatry at Wholeview Wellness. He brings a strong clinical and research background to his work, with a particular focus on evidence-based treatments for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Dr. Parmon earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency at UT Health San Antonio, where he also served as Chair of the Education Committee and held leadership roles in quality improvement and patient safety. He went on to complete a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center and the New York State Psychiatric Institute, where he continues to contribute to research on combination pharmacotherapies for stimulant use disorders.
Dr. Parmon is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine. His work has been recognized with awards such as the Regional Travel Award from the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and as National Champion of the American Psychiatric Association Mind Games competition.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Parmon is dedicated to advancing the field through teaching and research. He has published on topics including innovative treatments for substance use disorders and has presented at national conferences.
