Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking psychologists who are experts in the provision of individual, group, couples, and family treatment using evidence-based interventions for substance use disorders (CBT, DBT, ACT, CRAFT, etcetc.) and trauma including (Prolonged Exposure, (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT),  and trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET,) and EMDR). We are also interested in hiring people with expertise in treating eating disorders and providing family therapy. Our program provides exceptional care for people struggling with addiction and mental health challenges and we are seeking team members who share our passion!

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments
  • Craft plans for care in collaboration with patients
  • Conduct individual, group, couples, and family psychotherapy using evidence-based practices Include family members and supportive significant others in treatment sessions
  • Coordinate psychological services with other service providers
  • Participates in staff training, program development, and program evaluation, with an emphasis on creating an environment conducive to patient’s needs
  • Participate in group and individual supervision to ensure fidelity to evidence-based

Qualifications:

Education: Ph.D. or PsyD in Clinical Psychology and NYS License
Experience: 3 years of treatment for substance use disorders

Skills:

  • Expertise in multiple evidence-based practices – Prolonged Exposure, (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) and EMDR
  • Expertise in couples and family therapy is a plus
  • Experience providing LGBTQ-affirming therapy a plus
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive
  • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills

Must be able to provide care on some weekends or evenings

Addiction Physician (Part-Time)

This part-time role will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains expert knowledge regarding evidence-based psychopharmacological treatments for substance abuse and psychiatric disorders.
  • Provide psychiatric and addiction medicine care to Wholeview Direct patients in the outpatient OASAS program
  • Provide alcohol detox care virtually using remote physiological monitoring (wireless breathalyzer, pulse, and BP monitoring)

This role may involve training and providing support to mid-level medical providers who are hired to provide outpatient and detox care. Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational requirements:

  • Must be a physician licensed and currently registered as such by the New York State Education Department
  • Must have at least one year of education, training, and/or experience in substance use disorder services.

Experience with outpatient detox a plus!

Must hold a board certification in addiction medicine from a certifying entity appropriate to their primary or specialty board certification.

Therapist

Wholeview is seeking Master’s-level therapists, Social Workers (LMSWs), Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs), and Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) who are experts in the provision of individual, group, couples, and family treatment using evidence-based interventions for substance use disorders (CBT, DBT, ACT, CRAFT, etc.) and trauma including Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET,) and EMDR. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Addiction)

We are seeking part-time/contract mental health NPs who will work closely with our medical team. At Wholeview, you will enjoy a flexible schedule, working remotely alongside PhD- level psychologists who strive to make treatment interesting, engaging, accessible, and even, dare we say… fun for the patient.

  • Provide psychiatric care to Wholeview patients in the IOP and outpatient OASAS program
  • Conduct screenings to ensure patients do not have communicable diseases
  • Integrate MAT and psychiatric medication into case conceptualizations and treatment
  • Collaborate with the Program Administrator on program psychiatric/medical needs
  • Review patient toxicology tests and consult with clinical staff
  • Prescribe RESET and RESET-O digital therapeutic as appropriate for patients
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

  • Must be a nurse practitioner licensed and currently registered as such by New York State and shall have at least one year of education, training, and/or experience in substance use disorder services.
  • Must be comfortable prescribing MOUD through telehealth.

Bilingual (English/spanish) Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Addiction) – Telehealth

We are seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) NP who will work closely with our medical team.
