David Roubini
David Roubini is a clinical extern at Wholeview and a graduate student in the Mental Health Counseling and Wellness Master’s program at New York University, where he is set to graduate in the summer of 2025. With a deep commitment to serving diverse and underserved populations, David brings a unique blend of professional experiences to his future counseling practice. His background spans technology, culinary arts, education, and non-profit work, equipping him with strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and an empathic approach to working with individuals from all walks of life. He has also earned advanced degrees in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, Computer Science from NYU, and Philosophy from Università degli Studi di Milano.
David’s career has included leadership roles such as Senior Director of Systems Engineering at Consumer Reports, where he managed global technology teams and supported consumer advocacy initiatives, and Senior Director of Software Systems at the International Rescue Committee, where he developed infrastructure for humanitarian interventions. Additionally, he has owned and operated culinary ventures and taught cooking classes for refugees and underserved communities. A dedicated volunteer, David has worked with organizations like The Bowery Mission and Brooklyn Public Library to support marginalized populations. Fluent in English and Italian, he is passionate about fostering empathy, understanding, and resilience in his work with individuals and communities.
