STAIR Group (Skills Training in Affect & Interpersonal Regulation)
STAIR Group – Skills Training in Affect & Interpersonal Regulation
STAIR Group (Skills Training in Affect & Interpersonal Regulation) is a research-backed, time-limited (4-month) therapeutic treatment group designed to help individuals who have experienced trauma develop essential emotional and interpersonal skills. This structured program is tailored to address the lasting impact of traumatic experiences and mood disruption. It offers an opportunity to break free from unhealthy coping mechanisms like substance use or risky behaviors, which may have been used to manage distress but ultimately contribute to further challenges.
The main goals of STAIR Group are to help you build emotional awareness, develop healthy coping strategies for distress, and improve your interpersonal relationships. You’ll learn how to recognize and manage emotions that interfere with your relationship goals, while uncovering patterns from early relationships that continue to influence your current interactions. By the end of the program, you will have a stronger understanding of your emotions, healthier coping tools, and improved interpersonal skills, setting the stage for lasting healing and better relationships.
