Alexa Shelden, LCSW

Alexa Shelden is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience in behavioral health. As Assistant Program Director at Wholeview Direct, she provides compassionate, evidence-based care while also overseeing clinical operations and staff development. Alexa is passionate about mentorship and supervises students and interns from various academic programs. She holds a BA in Sociology from Gettysburg College and an MSW from Fordham University, with a focus on substance use treatment.

Her therapeutic approach blends Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and psychodynamic techniques such as Supportive Expressive Therapy to help patients build coping skills, deepen self-awareness, and foster lasting change. Prior to Wholeview, Alexa helped launch a national digital behavioral health program and has extensive experience in outpatient addiction treatment. She is deeply dedicated to expanding access to high quality and patient-centered substance use and mental health care.
