Adriana “Adri” Allman (she/her) is a licensed social worker (LMSW) with a master’s degree from Columbia University and a bachelor’s from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Adri specializes in the treatment of substance use disorders, with a focus on harm reduction, mindfulness-based approaches, and evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
She has worked as a Certified Support Specialist with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and contributed to NIH-funded research exploring overdose prevention strategies across New York State. Adri is experienced in providing both individual therapy and facilitating group work, including a weekly Somatic Processing group and a group tailored to Empowering Creatives in Recovery.
With 16 years of experience in the arts, Adri brings a special interest in working with creatives to explore themes such as identity, life purpose, and the transformative power of creative flow into the therapeutic process, drawing on symbolic imagery and expressive practices as pathways for healing.
Adri intentionally integrates somatic awareness, Internal Family Systems-informed parts work, and spiritual meaning-making into her clinical work. Clients who are drawn to expressive and holistic healing modalities may find her approach particularly resonant.
She is committed to providing affirming care that honors the intersectionality of marginalized identities, including LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. A continuous student of life, Adri is devoted to deepening her understanding of the human experience and its application to collective thriving.
